You need to have root read/write access from system lsw0103 to the system
executing the backups. I would imagine your backups get done by root user
and if root doesn't have access in lsw0130's export file, you'll have
problems. So, if system lsw0130's is a solaris system for example, its
/etc/dfs/dfstab file should look something like this:
share -F nfs -o root=backup_system_name /viewstor
Hope this helps.

Subject: [cciug] View Backup Problem
Hi group,
I am trying to do UNIX View Backup which is residing on the remote
host, in a shared directory.
1) cd to <view-storage-directory>
I am using the following command
tar cvpf <tar-file-name-path> <view-storage-directory>
I am getting the following error messages:
tar: /net/lsw0103/viewstor/brett.vws/.identity: Permission denied
tar: /net/lsw0103/viewstor/brett.vws/.identity: Permission denied
Does any one came across to similar kind of problems, or Is there any
solution for this permission issue.
Please let me know.
Thanks in advance,
Ramesh
