AW: [cciug] Clearlicense problem

Hi Bruce,
This also happens sometimes at our site. We have a license server for more
than one projects. They work in different environments (UNIX, NT, with or
without domain server). Suppose a user of project A requests a license. If
this user is not in the passwd file of the license server, CC calls him
"nobody".
But things can get even more complicated, if user A has a userID (lets say
100) in his project, but in the passwd file of the license server, 100
points to another name. So, the other name appears in the clearlicense list
(This resulted in the question "what the heck is that person doing with
ClearCase?).
We cannot synchronize all userID's in our whole Network. On the other side,
we do not want to have too many license servers. So, I think we have to live
with this.

Bye
Bernd
