Wonder if anyone can help -
We're just installing CC 4.0 on a HPUX 11.00 vob/view/reg.
server running TAS 5.4.1 with NT SP4 clients. No Unix clients yet. For
some reason we cannot see a vob after mounting the vob and setting a view.
Get a "vob storage dir not found" error.
On the Unix side 2 groups - ccase & ccusers. In ccase we
have ccadmin with ccase as his primary group. Everyone else is in ccusers.
On the NT network side we have the same groups above with
the same users. There is also a generic clearcase_albd account that is part
of the NT ccase group.
In TAS created a volume ccstore and mapped it to a file
service /vobs (path to root dir of vob storage dir). Using share mode
authentication with the share name set to a user with a unix account and a
member of the ccusers group.
On the NT client can map a drive to the file service
/ccstore (or is it /vobs ??) and can see the underlying project vobs. On
the unix server we can mount and see the files.
Is there something wrong in our setup? Any clues anyone? We
had the Rational CC rep here as well as talked to TAS support but no luck.
TAS is running fine and so is CC. I just can't access the files from a NT
client..
A simple guy with a BIG headache !!!!
