Hi Jay,
locking a VOB for a build will not be useful if you use the winkin feature
of clearmake (DOs have to be moved to the VOB when winked in). A VOB-lock is
only necessary for the nightly backup.
Locking a branch may be useful if you have either more than one view that
operates on that branch, or more than one user to work in the view where the
build takes place. If you avoid these two scenarios, locking of the branch
will not be necessary.
