[cciug] Licensing issue

I'm new to Clearcase, so please be gentle :-)

I'm having a little bit of a problem. We have a license server running on a
SUN sparc station. We run an array of Rational products, some of them with
NT clients, some of them with UNIX clients. I've entered a startup license
key under the Rational License administrator under NT, but the license
server is not NT. It can't be copied to UNIX because the cksum's are always
0 under NT. I've tried to generate it from the UNIX side, with no success.

I've tried rs_install and license_setup under UNIX and while the license
looks OK and passed the license_verify script, the license does not show up.
I've noticed that the "cksum" tag is missing from the license info in the
license.dat file.

My predecessor has told me that Rational has to generate the startup key for
UNIX (even though I have all the start up information, have used proxy, etc)

Am I missing something?

Thanks
