Carl,
We have 2 admins. One is an IT guy and Solaris expert, so he takes care of
NFS, backups, VOB's and generally anything to do with the servers. The
other is moi and I generally deal with the NT side and the developers. I try
and look interested in any of their queries, problems or complaints.
We also have plans to train the developer that was responsible for VSS (in a
time before ClearCase) in the hope that he will be able to answer any
queries regarding 'why ClearCase dosen't do what VSS used to do' or 'I used
to do X in VSS, how do I do it in CC'. Although he won't have any admin
access but he will have the knowhow.
We don't actually have anybody who's sole purpose in life is ClearCase.
Regards,
John.
