All access to the scheduler other than local access from the ClearCase
Administrator group (which is always granted full rights) is controlled by
the scheduler's Access Control List (ACL). This includes access to the ACL
itself.
The default ACL is "Everyone:Read". To enable remote administration of the
scheduler, you must first modify its ACL to grant users (and/or groups)
"change" or "full" rights. This must initially be done by a member of the
ClearCase Administration group on the machine where the schedule resides
(since the ACL currently only contains the entry "Everyone:Read").
I don't have ClearCase / an Admin Console in front of me so the following
may not be quite accurate. You can view/edit the ACL by right clicking on
the host's "Scheduled Jobs" node and selecting "permissions". You'll get a
dialog that looks just like the NT ACL editor (and help is available).
Alternatively, you can use "ct schedule -edit -acl". The "schedule"
reference manual discusses all of this too.
