I Also would not forget about linux. If All you need is a VOB server you can do
that with CC 4.0 and for the price of the sun you can get quite a nice PC and
add a disk array. The only thing thats missing from the production linux at the
moment is a journaled filesystem but that should be released soon. The pentium
linux machine on my desk is much faster than the 2 CPU sgi octanes i work with
for CPU intensive tasks.
