Since you've priced a used machine, cost is obviously a big factor.
However, forget about a Sparc2 as a server, you'll outgrow it quickly, and
it will be gawd-awful slow with 50 users slamming it. Look for something
from the Sun Enterprise line of servers, they'll be much more user friendly
for you.

is very stable, and has fantastic application support. If you're a unix
rookie, Sun is the easiest, and most reliable, route to take. IMHO,
anyway...
