Subject: Problems with cm of code
Hi,
I have got to cm a particular piece of code consisting of an entire directory
structure. The code has to be cmed in a particular branch in the existing VOB.
The target branch is existing for few files and for the others it is the main
branch which is being continued since an identical version of a file is not
cmed. The branching is to be made from a particular label which exists for some
files in main/latest , for some files in a version which is previous to
main/latest and for some files in a version in the target branch itself. I had
done the cm once using the following commands :
1. In the location of code to be cmed :
clearexport_ffile -r -b target_branch .
2. I had set my view and in the VOB directory :
clearimport pathname_to_cvt_data_file.
But it gave erroneous result for the files which were in the main branch . It
created the target branch from main/latest irrespective of the label and the
whole cm has to be cancelled.
Please advice as to how I can use clearexport_* and clearimport for a successful
cm.
Thanks & Regards
Srijit.
