Hi Suzanne

I did the same thing a month ago (splitting a vob into 3 vobs), and manage to
recover all the views private files with recoverview command.
you should do the following:

1. use lsprivate command to find the directories identifier of the directories
which you relocate.
the output will look like :

/vobs/vobname/<DIR-3587d464.428211cd.b40c.08:00:69:06:af:65>/filename

2. use the following command:

recoverview -dir 3587d464.428211cd.b40c.08:00:69:06:af:65 -tag view_tag

all the view private files which resides under the relocated directory will
removed to the view
lost+found directory (resides in view_name.vws/.s/)

for more details read man pages of lsprivate and recoverview commands.

good luck

Amit
