IBM PureData System
The next addition of the PureSystems platform, delivering data services to deploy and manage data for transaction processing and big data analytics. Now developers can take advantage of PureData to meet big data challenges with simplicity, speed, and lower cost for both traditional and cloud environments, in addition using PureFlex for infrastructure services and PureApplication for platform services.

Patterns of expertise
PureApplication brings along three sets of patterns: Infrastructure, Platform, and Application Patterns. Infrastructure Patterns are built-in and provide automated, policy-driven management across compute, storage, and networking resources. Platform Patterns come built-in or can be added; they deliver preconfigured and policy-managed platform services. Application Patterns are predefined application architectures and required platform services that can be added from IBM and third parties.
