IBM downloads
This month, we fill this space with profiles of the all the cutting-edge (and proven and deployed) downloads you can find at IBM.

  • First, stop at the downloads in the developerWorks Power Architecture technology zone (in the left-column navigation space). This takes you to core designs, evaluation kits for the various PowerPC® lines, toolkits, firmware, and some references for embedded systems and microprocessors.
  • Building from that Web page, if you want to expand your choice of technologies to download, simply select the All technology downloads link under the "Related links" category. This gives you a choice of types of technologies (POWER™, AC, XML, Java™, Linux™, grid, SOA and Web services, Web architecture, wireless, open source) to search through, or you can ask for it by brand name.
  • Back at the Power Architecture zone page, we even highlight Power Architecture™-related technology downloads. About mid-way down the Web page you'll find the Downloads and CDs section that points to Power-related resources for you to discover.
  • Another resource for you to download is the IBM Journal of Research and Development. It can help keep you in the loop for the latest on Power advances -- for example, right now it is offering a sneak peek at some early papers on POWER5™ architecture and packaging.
  • IBM Semiconductor Solutions maintains a technical library of manuals, notes, updates -- everything you need to stay on top of the ever-changing world of processor design and fabrication. It even keeps a selection of evaluation kits and debuggers.
  • IBM alphaWorks is the home of emerging technologies downloads.

IBM Redbook residencies: Become a published author
Join the Redbooks crew for a two- to eight-week residency program and help write an IBM Redbook dealing with specific products or solutions, while getting hands-on experience with leading-edge technologies. You'll team with IBM technical professionals, Business Partners and/or customers, develop a network of contacts in IBM development labs, and have some fun as well.

Help: Update or add to My dW interests

What's this?

This little timesaver lets you update your My developerWorks profile with just one click! The general subject of this content (AIX and UNIX, Information Management, Lotus, Rational, Tivoli, WebSphere, Java, Linux, Open source, SOA and Web services, Web development, or XML) will be added to the interests section of your profile, if it's not there already. You only need to be logged in to My developerWorks.

And what's the point of adding your interests to your profile? That's how you find other users with the same interests as yours, and see what they're reading and contributing to the community. Your interests also help us recommend relevant developerWorks content to you.
