The following downloads can be used together with the IBM
SDK for Multicore Acceleration.
Distributed Image Management for Linux Clusters
The update to the Distributed Image Management for
Linux Clusters, a scalable image management tool that
allows blades to run a Linux distribution over the network
without a local disk. Supports blades for IBM BladeCenter
with the Cell/B.E. processor, including the QS20 and
recently announced QS21. [Updated: 10/25/07]
IBM
Assembly Visualizer for Cell Broadband Engine on alphaWorks
This tool provides a graphical user interface (GUI)
for viewing the static analysis results of a Synergistic
Processing Element (SPE) program and enables safe,
interactive hand-tuning of assembly.
IBM Dynamic Application Virtualization
The update for the IBM Dynamic Application
Virtualization -- technology that enables computationally
intensive applications to take advantage of accelerated
libraries on remote, back-end systems (including Cell/B.E.
systems), reducing time to deployment and disruption to
business -- now offers support for Linux clients and Java
client applications; a semantics verifier; and a service
broker that can manage requests across multiple
computation nodes. [Updated: 01/10/08]
IBM Full-System Simulator for the Cell Broadband Engine Processor
Version 3.0 of the IBM Full-System Simulator for
the Cell Broadband Engine Processor, a full-system
simulation infrastructure and tools for the Cell Broadband
Engine processor. Provides a new, fast functional
simulation mode and improved performance modeling of the
memory subsystem for SMP environments. [Updated: 01/09/08]
IBM
Interactive Ray Tracer Demo on alphaWorks
The Interactive Ray Tracer for Cell Broadband
Engine demonstrates the power of the Cell Broadband Engine
for interactively ray tracing high-definition television
(HDTV) images of complex scenes. Interactive Ray Tracer
can run on the PlayStation 3, QS20, and QS21 Cell
Broadband Engine-based platforms. A single Linux binary is
supplied that renders the provided scene. Interactive Ray
Tracer serves as an example to those interested in the
digital media, graphic rendering, and high-performance
computing aspects of the Cell Broadband Engine's
capabilities.
Visual Performance Analyzer (VPA) on alphaWorks
Visual Performance Analyzer (VPA) is an
Eclipse-based performance visualization toolkit. It
consists of five major components: Profile Analyzer, Code
Analyzer, Pipeline Analyzer, Counter Analyzer, and Trace
Analyzer.
IBM XL C/C++ for Multicore Acceleration for Linux
IBM XL C/C++ for Multicore Acceleration for Linux
is an advanced, high-performance cross-compiler that is
tuned for the Cell Broadband Engine Architecture. The
compiler requires the GNU Compiler Collection (GCC)
toolchain for the CBEA, which provides tools for
cross-assembling and cross-linking applications for both
the PPE and SPE. Evaluation versions of XL C/C++ for
Multicore Acceleration for Linux on x86 Systems, V9.0, and
XL C/C++ for Multicore Acceleration for Linux on System p,
V9.0 are available for
download.
IBM XL Fortran for Multicore Acceleration for Linux on System p
IBM XL Fortran for Multicore Acceleration for Linux
on System p is an advanced, high-performance
cross-compiler that is tuned for the Cell Broadband Engine
Architecture. The compiler provides full support for the
Fortran 95, Fortran 90, and FORTRAN 77 language standards
and partial support for the Fortran 2003 standard. This
compiler can be used for developing complex,
computationally-intensive programs, including
inter-language calls with C and C++ programs. Evaluation
version of XL Fortran for Multicore Acceleration for Linux
on System p, V11.1 is available for
download.
