Michelle Cordes graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Computer Science, and joined IBM in 1980. She spent time as a System Engineer supporting enterprise accounts in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She spent most of that time focused on mainframe MVS systems, with specialties in imaging and communications, particularly with distributed systems. During those 19 years, she worked in both technical and sales positions, including as a Certified Application Development Technical Sales Specialist. She joined IBM's Software Group in 2000 as a Market Manager for Enterprise Application Development Tooling, working with customers and development to help ensure IBM's application development tooling meets customer requirements. |
