Matt Hogstrom, architect for Geronimo-based IBM® WebSphere® Application Server Community Edition and
a Geronimo committer, talks about the strengths of Apache Geronimo and what's
new in V2.0, including support for Java™ Platform, Enterprise Edition 5. He talks about the idea
behind WebSphere Community Edition, IBM's free application server based on the Geronimo
code. Getting involved with the Geronimo community and what's ahead for
Geronimo are also discussed.

About the guest  Matt Hogstrom is architect for Geronimo-based IBM WebSphere Application
Server Community Edition and a committer on the Apache Geronimo project. He
is also a member of the Geronimo Project Management Committee. Matt has
been a Java performance analyst for several years. He was a member of the
JSR-004 and 131 Expert groups at the JCP, as well as at the SPEC
organization in the development of J2EE performance benchmarks.
