Mashup Camp 4 was held 16-17 Jul at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View,
Calif., and IBM sponsored a business mashup challenge where attendees were
invited to leverage and extend a hosted mashup assembly environment to
create exciting and unique situational applications. Judges included a
mixture of venture capitalists and analyst attendees and prizes were
awarded. Here, the four winners talk about their creations and branch out to chat about the mashup space.

About the guests  Kenny Spade has been developing professionally since 2002, and recently
returned to school to work toward a bachelor's degree in computer science at
CSU Chico. Recently, his focus has shifted from development to presentation
and training, which has widened his focus to all aspects of the IT
industry. He is currently the events coordinator for UPE, the computer
science honors society at CSU Chico, and also serves as the Microsoft Student Partner on campus.
 Mark Madsen is president of Third Nature, a consulting and technology
research agency focused on business intelligence, data integration, and Web
technology. He is an award-winning architect and CTO whose work has been
featured in numerous industry publications. He is a principal author of
Clickstream Data Warehousing and teaches classes on data warehousing

 Co-founder and CTO for WorkLight Inc., Yuval Tarsi has broad startup
experience, most recently as vice president of R&D and Israel site
manager for ©Right. Previously, he served as vice president, R&D and
vice president of technologies at Trivnet, a provider of e-commerce
solutions. Prior to that, he served in the Israeli Intelligence Corps'
prestigious Haman Talpiyot program. He holds a degree in mathematics and
computer science from Tel Aviv University.
 Renat Khasanshyn is a subject-matter expert in data integration and open
source business models, and is responsible for driving the vision of data
integration solutions at Apatar Open Source. He is a frequent speaker at a
wide rage of events. Prior to founding Apatar, he was CEO for Altoros
Systems, a distributed product life-cycle management company, and earlier,
vice president of engineering for PriMed, a discount insurance company in
Tampa, Fla. He immigrated to the United States in 2001 from Belarus, where
he studied engineering and marketing at the Belarussian State Technical
University. He was recently was named finalist for the 2007 Emerging
Executive of the Year Award by Mass Technology Leadership Council. Check out
