Summary
This tutorial just scratched the surface of Eclipse plug-in development. It demonstrated how to create, test,
debug, and package a basic plug-in. Then it showed how to start developing your own plug-ins using the seven
plug-in templates as a starting point:
- Hello World
- Popup Menu
- Property Page
- View
- Perspective Extension
- Editor
- Multi-page Editor
You should now have a good understanding of how to take advantage of the plug-in templates in Eclipse to reduce
the coding and learning curve of generating your own custom plug-ins.
