Five tutorials to prepare you for the WebSphere MQ certification test
If you have experience with WebSphere MQ, and can plan, design,and implement software solutions involving WebSphere MQ, consider taking IBM certification test 996, IBM Certified Solution Designer -- WebSphere MQ V6.0. To help you prepare for the test, IBM has created five certification preparation tutorials focusing on the topics covered in the test:

Part 1 is a technical introduction to WebSphere MQ, with an overview of its features and capabilities. - WebSphere MQ certification prep, Part 2: Installation and configuration
Part 2 covers installation of Websphere MQ and configuration of typical features. It also shows you how to diagnose and solve installation and configuration problems. - WebSphere MQ certification prep, Part 3: Distributed queue management
Part 3 addresses distributed queue management, including configuration, application data conversion, and WebSphere MQ clients. It also discusses exception handling and security. - WebSphere MQ certification prep, Part 4: MQI major calls
Part 4 covers the major calls of the WebSphere MQ API (MQI), including connecting and disconnecting to queue manager, and sending and receiving messages. It also discusses message headers and controlling the retrieval of messages. - WebSphere MQ certification prep, Part 5: MQI additional topics
Part 5 continues examining the WebSphere MQ API (MQI), including transactions, triggering, MQI security, and obtaining and setting properties of WebSphere MQ objects. It also covers message groups and distribution lists.
