Learn how to scan a Web application for security vulnerabilities using IBM® Rational® AppScan® Express. Rational AppScan Express is a software-based Web application vulnerability scanning solution. It finds vulnerabilities in Web sites and Web applications and explains how to fix them. The end result is a more secure environment and a dramatic reduction in the risks associated with a security breach.

About the authors

		Akmal has been working with database technology since 1988. He has been a regular presenter at many international conferences, including Object World, Object Technology and OOPSLA. He has also edited or co-edited eight books, including "XML Data Management" (Addison-Wesley, 2003). He holds a BSc in Computing and Information Systems, MSc in Business Systems Analysis and Design and a PhD in Computer Science. He is a Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS).

		As a Security+ Certified Professional, Senior Software Engineer and Software Architect with the IBM Developer Skills Program, Jeff consults, codes, speaks, and develops technical content covering JEE, Web services, SOA, WebSphere, Rational, Tivoli, and security technologies.
