Lakshmi Palaniappan is an advisory software engineer at the IBM Silicon Valley lab in San Jose California. She is part of the core development team for Optim Performance Manager, working on the Workload Manager tooling and as the development focal point for the monitoring tooling. Prior to this, she was the team lead for the Replication Server configuration and monitoring tooling. She holds a masters degree in Computer Science from California State University Hayward and has 15 years of industry experience.

Summary:  Learn about the Extended Insight architecture for InfoSphere Optim Performance Manager 5.1. This demo shows how to activate, install, and configure the Extended Insight client to monitor DB2 Call Level Interface, JDBC, and WebSphere applications all in command line mode.
