Prerequisites
These tutorials are geared toward experienced database application developers familiar with DB2 UDB. If you don't already have a background in DB2 database application development, but are interested in learning more, you should instead begin with the DB2 UDB Family Fundamentals certification exam (Exam 700) preparation tutorials. The Family Fundamentals tutorial series provides an introduction to SQL (Structured Query Language) and covers how DB2 Universal Database V8.1 is packaged and installed, how to create databases and database objects, and the basics of database security and transaction isolation.
