One of our developers sent around a note to the development teams with a portlet suggestion that looks pretty useful for debugging problems with WebSphere Portal or IBM Workplace Collaboration Services (aka Lotus Workplace). It lets you see your log files without having to rummage through the file system every time you need to look at them for clues as to what went wrong. Very useful when you're building new portlets and trying to figure out an issue or just writing to the logs in debug mode.
There are other handy features that go beyond a simple text editor, for example, it will put more recent log entries at the top. It will also collapse a bunch of exceptions so you can easily skip to the one that you care about, then expand it.
It's posted in the portlet catalog here. Check it out.
