100 Tech Tips: #65 Collecting the right data for MDM for PIM and MDMCS Support team
Starting from MDMPIM 9.1-FP2 and MDMCS 10 onward, there is a great tool for customers to collect support related data for the technical support team. The pimSupport.sh script is located in $TOP/bin/ directory.
Here are the steps you may follow to collect the support information: 1. Login to the PIM installation server side as your PIM user. 2. Run the $TOP $ ./pimSupport.sh -l all -b -p aaaaa.bbb.cccYou may use the following parameters. Note the value after parameter "-p" is the PMR number separated by "." instead of ",". Here is an example output: ==== Software and System Stack: starting....Done Setup and Configuration: starting......Done Implementation & Deployment: starting..Done Runtime Statistics: star ==== Collecting information on DB2 COMM COMM All results can be found in [$TO 3. Ftp the output file from this location to our support ftp server. This collected the PIM and GDS logs, customer stack, and configuration information. Here is a documentation with information on how to ftp the file to our ecurep ftp server. See "EcuRep: Attaching Files to your PMR" section.
