About the demo

The IBM Workplace Forms integration sample for IBM Lotus Notes/Domino shows how you can integrate Workplace Forms with Lotus Domino using the integration framework (described in the Demo Guide).

This demo application implements a very common scenario that is encountered in almost all solutions and industry scenarios: requesting a template that is pre-populated before being rendered to the user. On submission, data is extracted from the form to update and/or to create instances in a backend database repository. After the data is in the backend repository, some workflow/routing is performed to process that data.

In this application, we take a purchase order form (Workplace Form) and integrate it with Lotus Domino, using the integration framework.

This demo consists of HTML files, a Workplace Forms form, a Java properties file for Lotus Domino, a Java servlet, and several Java classes. The Demo Guide describes how to install and how to run the demo.
