The following chart shows the transaction throughput for the
different I/O schedulers relative to the "as
scheduler".

The "as
scheduler" is designed to optimize the access
physical disks. Its strategy is not suitable for storage servers
like the ESS. Thus, it is not a good choice for this environment.
All other schedulers are similar. For further tests we used the
"deadline scheduler".
