Kernel 2.4 based: June 2003 stream

This page contains experimental downloads for the "June
2003 stream"
Experimental code drops only have limited testing and may not be
installed or function in all environments. These patches need not
be compatible with other patches on developerWorks for LINUX for
S/390 and zSeries either.
The purpose of experimental code drops is
early publication of on-going efforts at IBM to allow for
- code review and
- early experiments by "power users".
This page may also be used to "submit" code into the development
streams of open source projects.

may get authority over a production system or access to data of a
production system. Disregarding this rule may result in severe data
loss. Experimental patches eventually disappear as they will be
included in a following release unless proven wrong or replaced by

This patch contains the initial
S/390 and zSeries patches for the linux-2.4.23 kernel, upgrading
vanilla kernel 2.4.23 to "June 2003 stream" kernel 2.4.21 as of
2003-12-18. Furthermore, this patch includes a retrofit of the lcs
device driver from kernel 2.5 / 2.6.
To create the complete
linux-2.4.23 kernel sources, the following patches need to be
applied in sequence:
