This white paper provides a status of the SCA and SDO specifications that have been submitted to OASIS.

On March 21, 18 members of the Open SOA Collaboration finalized and published major versions of a suite of Resource Framework (RF) Specifications for a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) programming model. The following were considered:

  • Stewardship of the evolution of these specifications will be handed to the OASIS standards development organization with the intent to steer the future direction of these multiple language and language independent specifications.
  • A number of complementary supporting SCA white papers and SDO white papers have been made available on osoa.org.
  • Early implementations are coming to market. Get the current list.

This white paper provides more detail on how this is framed and describes the importance of SCA and SDO in the SOA programming model.
