VP Message ─ ITM 6.2 Redbook Translation Announcement

I am pleased to see that our IBM Tivoli Monitoring V6.2: Implementation and Performance Optimization for Large Scale Environments Redbook has been translated into Japanese and is being published today.

In addition to the translation of the ITM 6.2 Redbook, Tivoli Development also funded the translations of the ITM 6.1 and ITCAM 6.1 Redbooks. I hope that our numerous Japanese customers and business partners have downloaded these translated Redbooks and found value in the information. IBM remains committed to the interests of our customers worldwide. We believe the Japanese version of the ITM 6.2 Redbook will help our Japanese customers and business partners deploy in large-scale ITM 6.2 environments.

It has been over 2 years since ITM Version 6 became generally available. ITM V6 is one of Tivoli’s flagship products and is playing a vital role in Tivoli Application and Availability Management solutions. ITM V6 has been well accepted in the market and we currently have more than 3000 ITM V6 customers around the world. Our customers’ IT environments are becoming increasingly complex with high availability, firewalls, virtualization, a variety of platforms, and so on and many have successfully deployed ITM V6 in large-scale environments, with more than 10,000 agents deployed. Given these complexities, this Redbook introduces various ITM V6 deployment ‘best practices’ and ‘tuning’ tips which should be very useful for our Japanese customers’ ITM V6 environments.

It is important to also emphasize the work that Tivoli development has been doing regarding the quality and support of our products. To satisfy our Japanese customers and business partners, we will continue to focus on improving the quality of our products and the support we give to our customers and business partners.
