この記事では、Optim™ for z/OS V6.1の
導入手順について、実際の操作画面や設定値を示しながら説明します。
はじめに
Optim Products for z/OS 製品ファミリーは、以下の点に焦点をあてたデータ管理ソリューションを提供します。
- Data Growth Solution （増加する企業内データの管理と活用）：
主幹業務の DB2 アプリケーションからヒストリー・トランザクション・レコードをアーカイブする、実績のある機能を提供します。
アプリケーション・データは安全かつ確実なアーカイブに安全に再配置されるため、実動データベースが簡素化され、処理オーバーヘッドも削減されます。
アーカイブ情報への汎用アクセスは維持されます。 Optim Data Growth Solution for z/OS により、アプリケーションのパフォーマンス向上、IT コストの削減、
およびデータ保存コンプライアンス・プログラムのサポートが可能になります。
- Test Data Management Solution （開発テストの生産性を向上）：
適正な規模を持つ現実的なテスト・データベースの作成、エラーおよび境界条件を強制的に設定するためのデータ編集、
および他の方法では検出されないと考えられるアプリケーション・エラーを突き止めるための、一連のテスト結果とベースライン・データの
比較を行うことができます。 テスト・データ管理を簡素化することで、品質の向上、繰り返し型テスト・タスクの高速化、および収益創出の
促進を実現できます。
- Data Privacy Solution （データの機密性保護）：
これにより、機密データの非識別化、マスク処理、および変換を行うことができます。
Optimユーザーは、これらの各機能をISPFパネルのユーザー・インターフェースを通して設定、実行します。オンラインで実行することもできますし、
設定によりバッチ・ジョブJCLを生成しバッチ処理として実行することもできます。
また、Optimが管理する各種の設定情報は、DB2 for z/OS上のOptim管理データベースに格納されます。
それで、Optimの導入作業には、ISPFと連携して動く各種のライブラリー・データ・セットの作成と、DB2 for z/OS上の管理データベースの作成・設定
が含まれます。
Optim Zがサポートする（操作対象となる）ユーザー・データは、DB2 for z/OSとLegacy Data (IMS, VSAMファイル, 順次編成ファイル)です。

Optimがサポートするソフトウェア・レベルと今回の導入環境におけるソフトウェア・レベルを表-1 に示します。

今回Optimを導入するz/OSシステムの使用環境を表-2 に、
DB2 for z/OSサブシステムの使用環境を表-3 に示します。

導入手順
Optim for z/OSの導入作業は、おおまかに以下の流れで進みます。
- 1. Optimのアンロード
- CDまたはTapeメディアから復元用CLISTおよびXMITファイルをTSOデータ・セットにアンロードします。
その後、復元用CLIST(OPTIMREV)を使ってXMITファイルからOptimライブラリー・データ・セットを復元します。

- 2. 導入ダイアログの起動
- PSTINST CLISTを実行し、Optim導入用ダイアログを起動します
(Chapter 3. Installation Dialog - Optim for z/OS Installation and Administration Guide)
- 3. Optimの導入・設定
- Optim導入用ダイアログの Full InstallオプションでOptimを導入・設定し使用可能にします。
これにはDB2にOptimディレクトリー・データベースを作成・設定することが含まれます。

１．Optimのアンロード

- 1-1 ファイルの割り振り
- 次の二つのファイルを割り振ります。

- 1-2 OptimREV.cliの転送
- CD上のOptimREV.cliファイルをデータ・セット OPTIM611.SAMPLIB(OPTIMREV)に転送します。
IBM Personal Communicationsなど3270エミュレーターのファイル転送機能を使用して、テキスト形式で転送します。
- 1-3 OPTIMREV CLISTの編集
- パラメーターを次のように設定します。QUAL1=OPTIM611, QUAL2=JMAT, VOL=OPTV02, UNIT=SYSDA
- 1-4 XMITファイルの転送
- CD上のOptim611.xmiファイルをデータ・セット OPTIM611.XMIT611.XMITに転送します。
IBM Personal Communicationsなど3270エミュレーターのファイル転送機能を使用して、バイナリー形式(no CRLF)で転送します。
転送が完了したら、最初のレコードの3バイト目から文字列'INMR01'が含まれること、およびレコード数が正しいことを確認します。
レコード数はInstallation and Administration Guideに示されています
- 1-5 OPTIMREV CLISTの実行
- ISPF Option 6(Command)から次のコマンドを実行します

OPTIMREV CLIST実行ログに示すようなメッセージが大量に出力され、OPTIMREVにより作成されるライブラリーのデータ・セットが作成されます。

２．導入ダイアログの準備と起動

- 2-1 PSTCUSTの修正
- OPTIM611.JMAT.INSTALLのメンバーPSTCUSTを編集します。
ユーザー環境情報として、PLAN名、ライブラリー名、DB2サブシステム情報などを設定します。
この例では、デフォルトのDB2サブシステム OPD2と、代替でもう一つのサブシステム OPD1を設定しています。
このように複数のDB2サブシステムを使う場合、それぞれのサブシステムにOptimディレクトリー・データベースが必要です。すなわち、
この後の3. Optimの導入と設定を、もう一つのサブシステムに対しても行なう必要があります。

- DB2 Subsystem Name ... DB2サブシステム名
- DB2 Release ... DB2 V8 New Function Mode は 8.1.5 を指定します
- Load Library DSN, Install Library DSN ... Optimの各ライブラリー・データ・セット名を指定します。
- Save SQL/DSN Output ... Yにすると、導入・設定作業でDB2に対して発行されるSQLを保管することができます。
Save SQL/DSN Output = Y にしたとき、SQLの出力先指定画面が表示されるので、出力先データ・セット名
を指定します。データ・セットが存在しなければ、この後の割り振り画面でデータ・セットを割り振ることができます。

Optim導入ダイアログ メニュー画面で「1 Full Install」を選択し、1. フル・インストール・メニュー
から導入を開始します。
以下、各設定画面で必要なパラメーターを入力しながら作業を進めていきます。

各メニュー画面でオプション番号を入力して機能を呼び出します。初回インストール時には若い番号から順に処理していきます。
また、Optimはどこまで処理が進んだかを覚えているので、オプション番号を入力せずに[Enter]を押すと自動的に次の項目に進みます。
メニュー項目によっては、その先でさらに深く副メニュー項目に入っていくものがあります。
一旦オプション番号を選んで該当パネルに進むと、自分のオプション番号は表示されないため、インストールの途中で自分が
どこまで進んだか迷うかもしれません。
それで、まず全体のメニュー構造を、オプション番号と対応するメニュー項目の一覧として
フル・インストール・メニュー構造に示しておきます。

- Review DSN subcommand ... YESにすると、実行するDB2コマンドを表示させて確認できます
その他の項目はデフォルトのまま、[Enter]を押してBindを実行します。終了すると、
1. フル・インストール・メニューに戻り、STEP 1 COMPLETEDメッセージが表示されます。
続いて[Enter]を押すと、次のステップ 1.2 Optimディレクトリー用ストレージ・グループ指定
に進みます。Optim DirectoryとはOptimの管理データの総称で、実体はここから後のステップでDB2上に定義していきます。

サンプル・データベースは、Optimが提供するデモ用データ群です。ユーザー・データに見立てたお客様一覧表、商品一覧表、注文表などの
サンプル・テーブル、また、それらをOptimが扱うためのアクセス定義、カラム・マップなどの定義情報をここで作成・定義します。
Optimの以下のユーザーズ・マニュアルの各機能の紹介（イントロダクション）のセクション記載されている
サンプル・データベースを使ったデモンストレーションをそのまま実行できるようになります。

1.9 Setup Optim Directory and Sample Databaseには、さらに８つの副ステップ
がありますが、今回はオプション5以降のVSAMおよびIMSのLegacy Sample Databaseの作成はスキップします。

サンプル・データベースへのアクセス許可を行ないます。個別に許可ユーザーを指定する場合はAUTHID欄にユーザーIDを指定しますが、
今回はPublic指定でよいので、PUBLICにYを指定します。[Enter]を押すと、GRANT命令が実行され、
1.9.1 サンプル・データベース作成/ロード に戻り、STEP 6 COMPLETEDメッセージが表示されます。
これで、1.9.1 サンプル・データベース作成/ロードの全ての副ステップが終了したので、

これらは、Optimユーザーの初期設定値となります。

最初は、SQLID,SUBSYS欄がセットされていないので、まずSUBSYSにDB2 Subsystem ID (OPD2)を入力し[Enter]を押します。

まとめ
この記事ではOptim for z/OSの導入について、実際の画面例を示しながら作業手順について説明しました。
なお、今回導入したOptimはSMP/Eに対応していませんが、将来リリースされる版ではSMP/Eによる導入に対応したパッケージが採用される予定です。
また、マニュアル類も現在は英語版のみですが、日本語版が用意される予定です。
