There is a known defect in the Linuxthreads library in the release of SLES 9 prior to Update 1. This may in rare circumstances cause the Java process to hang. Customers who have a support arrangement with SuSE can obtain a fix for this defect from here.

The fix will also be available by applying SLES 9 Update 1.
