I have recently installed IBM Data Studio 2.2 IDE version and I'm wondering where my unified debugging session manager has gone. Should I not have a file called db2dbgm.jar somewhere?
Hi, we have a technote to address this. http://g01zciwas003.ahe.pok.ibm.com/support/dcf/preview.wss?host=g01zcidbs003.ahe.pok.ibm.com&db=support/swg/dmgtech.nsf&unid=CA8DAF8B0A6F172B85257642005C5C7A&taxOC=SSCSK4U&MD=2009/10/01%2015:10:10&sid=
However, we are still in the process of re-doing the links to the file. Let me know if you need the files urgently and I can send them to you via our External Customer FTP server.
Thanks for quick reply - can you check the web address, I think it's incomplete.
and yes, can I get a copy of the unified debugger file(s). It is for deployment for debugging both DB2 LUW and DB2 zOS stored procedures. I haven't quite worked out how best to deploy it but having the files will be a good start.
Please go to https://ecurep.mainz.de.ibm.com/aex/browseServer.jsp?browseDirectory=/ecurep/fromibm/windows and download com.ibm.ds.db2dbgm.zip. I am unable to attach the files to this forum.
Thanks.
Here is the URL I copied from the Browser's URL area:
http://g01zciwas003.ahe.pok.ibm.com/support/dcf/preview.wss?host=g01zcidbs003.ahe.pok.ibm.com&db=support/swg/dmgtech.nsf&unid=CA8DAF8B0A6F172B85257642005C5C7A&taxOC=SSCSK4U&MD=2009/10/01%2015:10:10&sid=
I thought it was the same as before. Anyway, if you can't get to it, go to the IBM Support site, and search on "Session Manager files missing".
I'm not getting very far with these URLs - for the technical note, I'm just getting
503 Service Unavailable
Failed to resolve the name of server g01zciwas003.ahe.pok.ibm.com to connect
For the download, I get
503 Service Unavailable
Failed to resolve the name of server ecurep.mainz.de.ibm.com to connect
are these internal IBM URLs?
Searching for Session Manager Files missing gets 40k hits on general search and nothing that looks relevant on advanced searches.
I will try from home to check that the company's firewall settings aren't causing problems but otherwise we will need to find some solution. Thanks.
Those URLs are public websites; not internal. Other customers have been able to use the Technical Support and ECUREP sites. However, it occured to me that these customers are enterprise customers. I will research what avenues are available for non-enterprise customers.
What difference would being an enterprise customer make to the URL? In fact we might even be an enterprise customer - I'm checking with our IBM software support contact Colin Henery.
It would be interesting to know if any viewers of this thread are able to use the links - please try and let us know.
I haven't been able to try at home yet but hope to in the next day or two.
I have my files now via local IBM contact. He also confirmed that we are enterprise customers. It would be interesting to know what was wrong with the URLs - did you ask any colleagues about this?
By the way, I see you specialise in debugging technology - I came across some articles and technotes of yours on DWB and debugging. I have some debug questions brewing!
Thanks for your help with this.
