In the materials on REST, there is frequent reference to "resources". Can anyone tell me if the concept of "resources" here is related to the concept of resources within the Resource Description Framework?

Bruce,

"Resource" is being used in the material on REST in the very basic sense of being the object referred to by a URI. In that sense, it is the same "resource" being referred to in RDF, a standard for recording metadata concerning the fundamental objects that can be referenced on the Web.
