X3850 M2 MR-10k battery problems

Hi, for a couple of days now the X3850M2 M/T 7141 is giving the following message during POST:
"Your battery is either charging, bad, or missing; and you have Virtual Drives (VD) configured for write-back mode. Because the battery is currently charging, these VDs will actually run in write-through mode until the bettery is fully charged or replaced if it is bad or missing."
How long does this battery take to charge?
Why is it charging now when the server has been there for months?
Should I replace the battery?
Thanks...

RajuB,
it means you should check software version on your server. Post DSA log for analysing.

Ramy,
as usually the very old software is source of most problems.
