Deploying a portlet to Notes 8.5

I'm trying to deploy a portlet created using WebSphere Dasboard Framework to Notes 8.5.

As a test I've created a very simple "Hello World" portlet that just displays some text. I can create the update site and install the portlet into Notes just fine.

The problem occurs when I try to add the portlet to the Composite Application Editor in Notes. Every time I get the error CLFRI0067E: Error refreshing application.java.lang.NullPointerException. This happens to every portlet i've tried to use in Notes.

Does anyone have any ideas on what might be wrong?

It's work on my computer.

What's the release number of the WDF you were using?

Can you add the portlet to the Notes application directly while not add the portlet to the composite application? If the portlet can be added to Notes application directly, then the problem may not be caused by WDF. You can reference to this article to see if there is any step you missed when you creating the composite application
