I have a linux LPAR installed, but for some reason, it can not be booted anymore, is there any way to visit its file from the vio server? Please help. thanks!
Not sure just what you mean by "visit its file system", but if the backing device is a physical disk, then you can make that disk visible on the VIOS. You may also have get the same results possibly easier by booting the client LPAR from another disk and making the problematic disk available to the client LPAR.
Depends on what filesystem you have configured for your Linux partition... It is likely that the VIOS will be unable mount that filesystem. Have you tried booting your Linux LPAR from a recovery/install CD and drop into the shell to mount the filesystem?
