Hello,

I have a DS 3200 (1726 HC2), it has a failed HDD. The drive is in a failed state and I have ordered a replacement HDD. It should be in later today. The question that I have though is this... I looked in the recovery guru in the DS storage manger 10 software. When I look at the details of the failed HD, it has the following info:

Array: 1
Raid level: 5
Affected drive slots: 11
Service action (removal) allowed: NO

Not sure what the Service action (Removal) allowed: NO means.. Can I not pull the bad HDD and replace with good drive when it comes in?

I can't believe that the HDD is not hot swappable..

Can someone please confirm that this is not correct..

Dear Jamie,

could you post the full text of this recovery guru page. The DS3000 Support Archive would be helpful, too.
