I've installed the RSA Asset Manager client through the installation manager and i've enabled the capability through the preferences window but the Asset Manager Perspective still doesnt show up. does anyone have any idea what might be missing? I can access MY RAM instance through the Eclipse client but that doesnt give me the design capabilities i would get in RSA.

Hi,

You have installed the RSA RAM Integration component. You also need to install the RAM Rich Client through a RAM server's update site in order to have access to the RAM functionality. Unfortunately, this has to be
done as a seperate step. To do this, follow the instructions in the online help:

http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rsmhelp/v7r5m0/index.jsp?topic=/com.ibm.xtools.integration.ram.doc/topics/toverviewramintegration.html

Let us know if you need any additional information.

Regards,
Hanna

Hanna,

thanks for the reply. I did try using the update site however i get a compatibility with my version of RSA (7.5.1) and our version of RAM, 7.1.1. is there a later version of the RAM plugin that works with 7.5?

Hi, Don't use the IBM INStallation Manager to install the RAM rich client into RSA. Use the normal Eclipse Update site under software updates in the Eclipse help. Point to the Update site shown on the help, extensions webpage in the RAM Web client.
