Making DAV more verbose

Hi
On the demo video, there's a lot of info dumped to the console when ./davServiceBroker and ./dav start are executed. There's a lot of lines with the tag DBG and INF which never appear on the console or in the log file with my version of DAV. I've noticed that the directory that DAV is being ran from in the video is different than the one I have (/usr/dav/) which makes me think that's a different version entirely.

Is it possible to make DAV more verbose with what it's doing? Currently I only get info on errors logged to a file if I run the broker with -d. I'd like to have the kind of feedback present on the video.Or is it possible to get the version from the video if it is indeed a newer/different one?

Regards
robtie

Hi,

the video version is the same version available for download. The install location was updated
to be /usr/ibmdav.

You can see more log information by adding the following to the IBM_DAV.conf :

dav.log.level=2

Regards,

-Robert.

Thanks, it's indeed more verbose this way. Too verbose actually, since now it keeps dumping info on and on. Not once or per event, like in the video, but constantly in a loop. Every second or so it dumps something like:

This goes on and on until I stop dav.

Hi

I did. With level 1, there's no debug info and with level 2 there's a constant flood of text.

Regards
