9117-570 Server HMC interfaces

Newbie here, so please be gentle. Can the 570 Server be managed remotely without the use of a HMC appliance? If So, do I need special software? How do I setup the HMC1 Ethernet Port on the 570 Server? It is running AIX 5.3. Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Manganing the HMC remotely is possible.
Find the option for that in the HMC.
Contact you network admin for configuring the ip of HMC to the LAN/ interanet.

You dont need any special s/w for that.
You can access the HMC via internet explorer or any browser..
