I am just wondering if eMail and Database Adpters are part of WESB licensing or they come with additional cost. DB, eMail, Flat File, FTP interaction would be an integral part of any ESB charging additional cost for these basic components sounds bit odd for me though.
These (JDBC, FTP, Flat File, Email) adapters are shipped with WebSphere Integration Developer and are licenced for use in production with WebSphere ESB and WebSphere Process Server.
