We have the older version of RDz,Following is the details of it.
Could you please advise,Is that possible to upgrade to RDz 7.6?
if so,Please guide me with the migration document.
WebSphere Studio Enterprise Developer Options for z/OS Version 5 Release 0, Program Number 5724-B67 FMID HEDS500

Are you trying to upgrade to RDz v7.6 w/ EGL? Maybe I should ask, do you need EGL support, or just the core RDz capabilities?
From what I was told, HEDS500 is an EGL extension. In v601, EGL and WSED split, and the HEDS500 code mostly went to EGL (all but ELAXMGU*, the error feedback module)
There is no migration document from v5.0 to any of the subsequent releases. From a RDz perspective, it might be best if you just install v76 and configure from scratch.

As a side note, when the product went to v6.0 (WDz v6.0), the host parts were not upgraded and remained v50, so you could be at v6x. The only way to know for sure is by getting a list of all related FMIDs, as there are some new FMIDs in v6x.
1.The users can connect to host using both client versions 'with EGL' or 'with Java' so does the host installation vary for that ?
2.Can we have the both WDz and RDz 7.6 at the same time?
Would like to install the RDz7.6 in different location and not to disturb the existing WDz,Can that be done?
Thanks,
Krish...
1) The "w/ EGL" and "w/ Java" are just the two packages that RDz is offered with. Both ship with the same core RDz product. From an installation point of view, there's no difference which package you have. Now, with EGL, I believe you will have additional host components to install & configure, but if your immediate goal is to get RDz up and running, then it's probably a task you can wait.
2) I believe you can have multiple versions of WDz/RDz installed on the same host just so as long as you configure each to use a different set of ports (for the RSE daemon and the JES port) for client access.
If you haven't already done so, take a look at the "Rational Developer for System z Host Configuration Quick Start Guide":
http://www-01.ibm.com/software/awdtools/rdz/library/index.html#pd-v76
and follow the instructions for the basic configuration - that'd get you up and running. After that, you can then further customize the product based on what you need.
