I'm having a a problem starting websphere version 6.1 on V5R4 in my startup procedure. It seems that some component related to websphere is trying to create a user space call QWASPDCOLL in the library QRPLOBJ. The problem is that the library QRPLOBJ is locked because it is being cleared by the operating system, as it does on an IPL. I suspect that the user space is related to performance collector trying to set something up.
Does anyone know of a circumvention? I've tried to determine when the CLRLIB is complete but haven't been able to consistently find a way to do that.
Regardless if this is a Portal or WAS server startup issue, you are correct in that this is a function of WAS. I checked with our WAS on i5/OS team, but they were not aware of any issues with this object. Can you provide the error that is received in the SystemOut.log? Also, is it preventing the server for starting up or is it just logging the error?
Thanks,
