Hi,
I have tried to install XForms Designer and XML Form Generator and have lots of problems:
1) Installed it in MyEclipse7, but as soon as I try to create a form,
getting error:
The following error occured while creating your form:
NAMESPACE_ERR: An attempt is made to create or change an object in a way which is incorrect with regard to namespaces.
2) So I thought that it maybe because I use MyEclipse,
installed Eclipse 3.4.1 (one for J2EE, another one for Java).
However, as soon as I try to add IBM update site to "Software Updates",
getting errors "No repository found at http://awwebx04.alphaworks.ibm.com/ettktechnologies/updates"
It is very consistent. Tried to add or remove that site as many recommended on the web - didn't help.
Tried to add/remove proxy - same thing.
Please help !
Few questions:
3) both XForms Designer and XML Form Generators are in 0.something release.
Any plans to release them into 1.0 ? Any support or development going on with them (since 2003-2006)?
Can we do real development on them or is it just R&D project?
4) I saw your Lotus Forms products. Are they outgrowth of these plugins ?
What's the relationship between eForms and XForms?
Does it require some expensive proprietary software like WS portal ?
we are currently on Weblogic9
We do not need the full blown expensive products.
Inexpensive plugins for developers might do ;-)
