Error After Startind DataCollector Agent

Hi all,

I am facing following error after starting the agent? Kindly guide me what is the problem?

THOR Loading THOR agent...
THOR DONE
>> ERROR: at Reader.cpp: 184
>> Failed opening data channel /debug/THOR/probem/data0 No such file or directory
THOR Module started ...

When i just used -version option following output with errors appeared

Hi,

Based on the error message you posted, the problem could be a failure of installation of the kernel module. Please make sure you are using the $THORDIR/bin/install.sh to install the module. Also make sure you are not using a problematic installation to profiling your application. Always uninstall the module if it seems not installed correctly.

A detailed instruction on installing the data collector can be found in the DataCollector.v1.1.tar.gz file, named INSTALL.

Yes it is now working, i uninstalled and re-inntalled the Data Collector.

But now i am facing a new problem, that the VisualAnalyzer is too slow , i am unable to see any result from a 64k trace file

I'm not quite sure why the Visual Analyzer is slow. Could you please provide more information about the linux distro you are using? It could be that the lwJGL (a variant of OpenGL) is not working ...

Problem Solved, I was using thin client with server, that's why it was very slow, now am analyzing trace files on separate machine, there the analyzer working fine.
