I see that this is actually a Kornshell script. I am going another route, vbscript.

Well I just did this with perl on ESX. Basically, we have 3 flashcopies setup, then 1 copies/mounts, next day 1 dismounts/still copies and 2 mounts/copies,, day 3 1 stops copying - 2 dismounts/still copies and 3 mounts and copies.
this is for a horrible thing called Avamar that EMC puts out. But we nailed it.
the jokers tried to sell us replication manager at an huge price. Well we solved it with a little scripting.
