I'd like to use this tool's framework to monitor a few other PMI counters. Is it possible to add other counters not necessarily associated with SIBus? How about writing the values to disk, is that possible? I know WAS will write out an XML file with PMI output but I like this tool's framework.

Hi,

As you say, WAS already offers the ability to view other PMI counters. So unfortunately
I do not plan to extend the Service Integration Tool to other PMI stats at the current time.
IBM also sells the Tivoli tools for more comprehensive and easy to use system management.

If you wish to write your own PMI stats program then you may be interested in the following article,
which explains how to acieve this.
