Hello.
We have the following situation in a customer-environment:
Users work with thin clients
They access a Citrix server farm running on BladeCenter
The customer wants to use the Eclipse based Notes 8 client in the near future
This client requires 256 MBytes per JRE for each user which is too much for the calculated number of users per Blade
Is it possible or will it be possible in the near future to use your PlugIn to enable an "Eclipse Server" that handles multiple Notes 8 Sessions?
What about the graphics-limitation - is it a general unbreakable limit (e.g. of XUL)?
Why does this PlugIn require Windows? Will Linux be possible as well?
Thanks in advance
Joerg

Joerg,
Thanks for your interest, and questions on this technology.
I will try to answer your questions:
<hr />
Eclipse server: At this time, we continue to view this "Eclipse on the browser" technology as a good idea, and not necessarily as a "product" or something we recommend customers to start using in production. Having said that, Eclipse-as-a-server is something that we continue to explore. We haven't made too much progress in this space as yet.
Graphics limitation: Basically, we haven't created support to map GEF content into XUL. Therefore you can't see Visual editors and UML diagrams, and other equivalent stuff using this technology. At this time we continue to focus on XUL - makes this Mozilla browser specific.
Platform support: Linux support will be available soon. This is on our priority list. And we don't see this as too much effort to build, compared to the ones you have mentioned above.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Kiran
