I am moving my UI work from SWT to either Flash or WPF. SWG is exactly what I need, but forking SWT is problematic. Are there any future plans for SWG? It doesn't seem to be on the radar at Eclipse.

In any case, SWG is a nice piece of work.

Regards,
Jonathan

Jonathan, as I have replied now to other posts here the SWG is the result of exploratory research work into rich client programming models and how to facilitate the development of rich graphical applications. As such we view the work as an exploration of what might be possible rather than a fork of the code, though for the level of integration we were aiming for we did have to make some changes to the SWT base - the graphics hooks.

A goal in offering this work here on alphaWorks is to see what sort of broader interest there is in this type of technology and take things from there.

Steve
