I just deployed adieu and can connect with the url http://cpl2.trnswrks.com/adieu/defaultformlogin.jsp.
But I can't come up with a username/password that works?

I think you are accessing the wrong URL.
The correct logon URL in your case is:
http://cpl2.trnswrks.com/adieu/index
(maybe you need to specify the port number)
By accessing the above URL, login page will appear.
So try to login and you will be asked to create an administrator user.
After logging-in as an administrator, you can add users by pressing "User" button.
